Biography
“I’m a Ballroom and Latin dancer; 3 times UK Same-Sex champion, 2 times European champion and an Open Worlds finalist. I perform with my husband, representing the UK at competitions around the world, in both equality events and in the mainstream ballroom world usually as the only male-male couple. I have danced on numerous television shows, choreographed ballroom segments for London musicals and worked alongside the Strictly pros.
In the ballroom world I continue to campaign for equal rights and continue to fight gender inequality and heteronormativity within the industry. As a teacher I promote gender neutral teaching in partner dancing, encouraging students to embrace the sides of dancing they want to explore, rather than forcing traditional roles.
Outside of Ballroom I am an aerialist and pole dancer, as well as being Head Trainer for a reformer pilates brand. When not being active, I am very happy knitting, reading or attending a fashion exhibition.”
